Spain-headquartered X-ELIO, a global renewable energy leader, has agreed to sell a 50 MW solar plant in Almería, Spain, to Tion Renewables, a European renewable energy producer. Operational since 2023, the plant powers the equivalent of 25,000 households annually and operates under a secured PPA. This acquisition strengthens Tion Renewables’ presence in Spain, supporting its European expansion strategy, while highlighting X-ELIO’s expertise in developing and delivering high-quality renewable projects. The agreement reflects both companies’ commitment to the energy transition and fostering strong industry partnerships. The transaction is expected to close by early February, subject to customary conditions.
