DNV, a Norway-based assurance and risk management company, has acted as technical due diligence advisor for Sonnedix’s refinancing. Sonnedix, a UK-based renewable energy producer, has completed a €2 billion (~ $2.2 billion) refinancing covering a European solar portfolio. The refinancing has covered 50 solar assets with a combined installed capacity of 1.3 GW. These solar assets were located across Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, and the United Kingdom. According to Sonnedix, the refinancing facilities were secured from a consortium of international financial institutions. DNV has conducted lenders technical due diligence, including portfolio-level energy assessments and technology reviews. The scope has also included performance evaluations, environmental checks, and long-term technical viability analysis aligned with green loan requirements. Recently, DNV has supported Atlas Renewable Energy as market advisor for the Copiapó hybrid project.
