Germany based Pacifico Energy Partners GmbH and Volksbank Mittelhessen eG have sold the 25 MW Metternich solar project to Energy Invest Mittelhessen I. The project was developed through a joint venture, while Pacifico has retained responsibility for construction completion and long-term commercial operations. In the mid-2025, the project has secured the building permit and the feed-in tariff with the tariff awarded through the Federal Network Agency’s EEG tender in July 2025. The solar park is located in Weilerswist, Euskirchen district within a designated corridor along the A61 motorway. Grid connection is planned through a newly built substation linked to the 110 kV network. Preparatory substation works were scheduled for early 2026 with solar park construction planned for Q3 2026. The commissioning by end-2026 was expected to supply electricity to around 34,000 households.
