Visiolar, a Germany-based solar project developer, has recently commissioned a 6.5 MW PV plant in Badingen, Brandenburg. According to Visiolar, the ground-mounted solar facility has been developed on a 5.77 hectare site located northwest of Badingen in the Oberhavel district. The facility integrates nearly 11,000 PV modules arranged in 27 rows, enabling annual electricity generation of around 6.5 million KWh. As per the company, the plant has been connected to the regional distribution network operated by E.DIS Netz GmbH, electricity distribution system operator. The electricity generated has been estimated to cover the consumption of approximately 1,700 households. The company stated that the project required a seven-figure investment and was designed to avoid around 3,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
