India's solar module manufacturer ICON Solaren Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has signed a supply agreement with RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. for 300 MW of Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) encapsulants. The supply was scheduled between January 2026 and April 2026. RenewSys will provide encapsulants designed for durability, PID resistance and with long-term field performance. The materials were produced at RenewSys manufacturing facilities in India. The agreement supported large-scale solar module production by ICON Solaren. ICON Solaren stated that the partnership enabled the use of domestically supplied encapsulants in its module lines.  The supply supported DCR-aligned solar programs and local value-chain requirements. Both companies aligned the supply with India’s domestic manufacturing requirements. The collaboration reflected ongoing efforts to strengthen local solar component sourcing and reduce dependence on imported encapsulant materials. Prior to this agreement, RenewSys had entered into a 400 MW encapsulant supply deal with ZNShine Solar in India.
