Sunrun, a leading clean energy provider, is collaborating with St. Mary’s Elderly Housing Corporation, SOMAH, and Asian Pacific Environmental Network to install 117 kW of solar power at St. Mary’s Gardens in Oakland. The project, funded in part by the California Public Utilities Commission’s SOMAH Program, aligns with the state’s commitment to mitigating climate impacts in the built environment, and provides clean energy to its senior residents, reducing their electricity bills by approximately $35 per month through virtual net metering.
