Solarpack has successfully connected the La Unión photovoltaic solar plant to the grid in Montería, Colombia, adding 144 MW of capacity. According to the company, this plant will provide electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 132,000 households and prevent more than 123,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. With a US$100 million investment, the project created 1,276 jobs, mainly for local workers. The operational launch of La Unión is a significant achievement in Colombia’s energy transition, reinforcing Solarpack’s expansion strategy in the region.
