Nexamp, the largest community solar provider in the United States, has established its second national headquarters in Chicago, planning a $2 billion investment in Illinois by 2026. Since its opening in 2019 with five members, the Chicago office has expanded to 80 members in five years. Nexamp is actively collaborating with the City Colleges of Chicago for a fellowship program that fosters a local employment pipeline in the solar industry. Additionally, the company has partnered with the Future Energy Jobs Act for job training, with a focus on prioritizing Equity Eligible Persons for new positions. These initiatives align with Nexamp’s commitment to Illinois’ Minimum Equity Standard under the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act of 2021.
