Zelestra has commenced construction of three PV plants—Belinchón I, II, and III—in Cuenca, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, with a combined capacity of 162 MW (DC). These facilities, set to become operational by the second quarter of 2026, are expected to prevent the emission of over 71,000 tons of CO2 annually. The construction phase will generate more than 400 jobs, contributing to local economic development. These projects are part of the Energize program, a collaborative initiative involving Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, UCB, Avantor, Organon LLC, Perrigo, and West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. As part of this program, Zelestra will supply an aggregated total of 305 GWh of renewable energy annually for a 10-year period.
