Yamaha Motor Corporation is taking steps towards carbon neutrality by 2035 by installing solar arrays at its headquarters in Kennesaw and Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America (YMMC) in Newnan, Georgia. VeloSolar, an experienced Atlanta-based solar company, will handle the installations. The Kennesaw array aims to cover 60% of electricity needs, while the Newnan facility expects to avoid 13,600 tons of CO2 emissions. This initiative aligns with Yamaha’s participation in the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact.
