DWS, a prominent asset manager, has acquired three PV plants in Spain from X-ELIO for its European infrastructure investment strategy. Located in Medina de las Torres, Badajoz, these plants began operations mid-2023, with a total capacity of 147 MW, expected to power 91,800 households annually. This aligns with DWS’s strategy to facilitate direct German investor participation in infrastructure projects. Previously, DWS invested in Energiepark Lausitz, an open-space solar plant in Germany. X-ELIO maintains focus on the Spanish market, with a remaining portfolio of 14 GW across various regions.
