Waaree Energies begins trial at 5.4 GW facility in Gujarat

Waaree Energies, headquartered in Mumbai, has started its trial production at its 5.4 GW PV cell manufacturing plant in Chikhli, Gujarat. This facility is claimed to be the largest in India and aims to strengthen the domestic solar supply chain while reducing reliance on imports. Waaree, one of the India’s largest solar PV module manufacturers, operates facilities with a combined capacity of 13.3 GW, including 1.3 GW from Indosolar. The company provides solar solutions such as panel manufacturing, EPC services, project development, and rooftop systems, with a presence in 25 countries.
