VERBUND acquires 110 MWp Italian solar assets

Austria-based VERBUND AG has acquired a solar power project portfolio in Central Italy, totaling approximately 110 MWp, from KE-RENINVESTMENT S.A. This portfolio includes two advanced-stage projects with a shared substation, strategically located near Greater Rome. The acquisition, finalized on July 30, 2024, supports VERBUND’s 2030 strategy to grow its solar and wind portfolio. As per its goals, VERBUND targets generating around 25% of its total electricity from PV systems and onshore wind farms. This acquisition enhances VERBUND’s geographical diversification and market presence in Italy. The specific purchase price of the portfolio was not disclosed.
