Origis Energy and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) have launched operations at the Golden Triangle II site in Mississippi, a 150 MW solar project with 50 MW of storage. This is the first of three planned solar plus storage projects in the state. As per Origis Energy, these projects will form Mississippi’s largest battery storage portfolio, including Golden Triangle I (200 MW) and Optimist (200 MW). Developed and operated by US-based Origis Energy, these sites will supply clean energy under PPA with TVA, benefitting industrial customers like Meta and local residents. Once completed in 2025, the combined capacity will reach 550 MW with 150 MW of battery storage. The economic impact includes $106 million in construction gains and $145 million in long-term regional benefits.
