Trina Solar modules powering Hainan agri-PV project

In mid-February, a 100 MW agrivoltaic farming project in Wanning, Hainan province, was successfully connected to the grid using Trina Solar’s Vertex N 720W series modules. The project, situated on barren slopes, incorporates 33 hectares of vegetable greenhouses beneath solar panels, enhancing agricultural productivity and is expected to generate 133 GWh power annually. Additionally, it creates approximately 100 local jobs, boosting the economy. Trina Solar’s Vertex N 720W series modules now boast an efficiency of up to 23.2% after recent upgrades to its i-TOPCon technology, achieving a 0.3% increase in cell efficiency through laser-induced firing.
