Trinasolar, based in China, has set a world record with its n-type fully passivated heterojunction (HJT) modules, achieving 25.44% efficiency, certified by Fraunhofer CalLab. Trinasolar claims that its HJT technology addresses surface defects, improving sunlight-to-electricity conversion and reducing installation size and costs. InfoLink forecasts that HJT is expected to account for 7%, 8%, and 9% of high-efficiency solar cell capacity from 2024 to 2026, while TopCON cells are projected to lead the market.
