Escalante Solar, a 200 MW (AC) solar project developed by Tri-State Generation, Origis Energy, and Gridworks, was named Solar Project of the Year Over 10 MW by Solar Builder Magazine. Built on the decommissioned Escalante coal plant site in New Mexico, the project generated clean energy beginning in June 2024, supplying power to 63,000 homes and advancing Tri-State’s clean energy transition. Featuring 500,000 Boviet solar panels and trackers from Array Technologies, it delivered significant economic benefits and helped Tri-State achieve New Mexico’s Energy Transition Act goals ahead of schedule.
