France and Japan-based TotalEnergies ENEOS, in collaboration with Thailand-based S. Kijchai Enterprise, has completed a 1.8 MW floating PV project in Thailand, representing its first floating PV installation in Asia Pacific and the second PV system for S. Kijchai within four years. The floating PV system, comprising over 3,000 modules, produces approximately 2,650 MWh of renewable electricity per year, aiding S. Kijchai Enterprise’s environmental goals by reducing carbon emissions by around 1,125 tons annually. Under a long-term PPA, TotalEnergies ENEOS fully funded and installed the PV system and will manage its operation for the next 12 years. As per the company, this arrangement enables S. Kijchai Enterprise to avoid upfront investment, requiring payment only for the electricity consumed over the agreement period.
