Singapore based TotalEnergies ENEOS has established a long-term partnership with Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) in Singapore to install a 2,200 kWp ground-mounted PV system. This will make TMCC the first golf course in Singapore to be primarily powered by onsite solar energy. The PV system, consisting of over 3,700 solar modules, is expected to generate approximately 3,160 MWh of renewable electricity annually, sufficient to power about 740 four-room HDB flats for a year. As per the company, this will lead to significant cost savings for TMCC and reduce its carbon footprint by about 1,320 tons of CO2 emissions annually. TotalEnergies ENEOS will fully fund, install, and operate the PV system under a long-term PPA, while TMCC will purchase the electricity generated for 11 years without any upfront costs.
