Tennessee-based Shoals Technologies has recently announced that it has been issued US patent ‘295 covering its Big Lead Assembly architecture. Shoals Technologies is a provider of EBOS solutions designed to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability in large-scale renewable energy projects. The Big Lead Assembly is a plug-and-play wiring solution that removes traditional combiner boxes, reduces labor needs, and decreases overall installation time. Shoals Technologies has confirmed that the newly issued patent has been incorporated into its ongoing lawsuit against Voltage LLC in North Carolina federal court. Shoals Technologies emphasized that protecting its Big Lead Assembly intellectual property is vital to ensuring market integrity and customer access to verified EBOS solutions. CEO Brandon Moss stated that the patent issuance  reinforces Shoals Technologies’ role in strengthening US manufacturing and supply chains. Earlier this year, Shoals Technologies also expanded internationally when it supplied equipment for the 110 MW Alcones PV project in Chile.
