TOYO Co., Ltd, a solar solution company has begun production at its new solar facility in Ethiopia in early April 2025. The company is planning to deliver over 80 MW of solar cells by the end of the month. By May and June 2025, the plant was expected to reach full operation with a monthly output of 150 to 200 MW. TOYO announced plans to expand the facility's nameplate capacity to 4 GW to meet external demand and support its module plant in Houston, Texas. The move marked a strategic effort to diversify manufacturing locations and address global solar demand.
