EDF Renewables UK, a renewable energy firm headquartered in the UK, has delivered community and grid benefits through its 49.9 MW Sutton Bridge solar farm in Lincolnshire. The facility has been operational since 2024 and supplies electricity to more than 9,000 households annually. According to EDF Renewables UK, the site includes a £20,000 (~ $26,200) yearly community fund managed by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation. Early recipients were the Sutton Bridge Foodbank and the local Bowls Club. As per the company, biodiversity measures implemented on-site have attracted species such as nesting birds, muntjac, and rabbits. South Holland District Council has approved a BESS system to store excess solar power and support grid stability. Recently, EDF Group partnered with Emerge and Masdar to deliver a 3 MW solar project for Tanmiah Food Company in Haradh.
