SolarBank Corporation, a solar project developer headquartered in Canada, plans a 7.2 MW DC ground-mount project in upstate New York. Named the Hoadley Hill Rd project, it has secured a site lease and submitted a request for interconnection approval. Once approved, the company will proceed with permitting and construction financing. The project is expected to qualify for incentives under NYSERDA’s NY-Sun Program. Upon completion, the system will operate as a community solar project connected to the local grid. Residential subscribers, including homeowners and renters, will receive bill credits based on their energy share. Solar Simplified will manage customer-facing operations including subscription, enrollment, and account servicing. This arrangement allows SolarBank to focus on development and scaling of its project portfolio across regulated US solar markets. Recently, SolarBank is advancing plans for a 4.3 MW solar project in New York.
