Mainstream Renewable Power has recently sold its 675 MW portfolio of wind and solar projects under development in Colombia to Celsia, an energy company part of the Argos Group. With this transaction, Mainstream exits the Colombian market. The divested portfolio includes five projects: three solar farms—Andromeda (100 MW), Aries (175 MW), and Pollux (100 MW) and two wind farms Neptuno (150 MW) and Sirius (150 MW). These assets have been under development since 2019. The sale is part of Mainstream's revised strategic focus, which prioritizes project development in three core markets: South Africa, Australia, and the Philippines. The shift aims to enhance capital efficiency, maintain a lean cost structure, and support value creation through targeted execution and capital recycling.
