Gentari, a Malaysia-based clean energy solutions provider, has started construction of the Maryvale Solar and Energy Storage Project in New South Wales, Australia. The project is designed to integrate a 243 MW solar farm with a 172 MW/409 MWh battery system and has advanced to its construction phase. Gentari has said the project is expected to supply 172 MW of clean dispatchable electricity, meeting demand for about 82,000 households annually. The facility is located in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone and was awarded a Long-Term Energy Service Agreement under the NSW Government’s roadmap. This agreement has ensured financial stability for the project and has enabled Gentari to proceed with investment in large-scale hybrid capacity. PCL Construction, a Canada-based construction services company, was appointed EPC contractor, while Trinasolar has supplied PV modules and CATL has provided the BESS.
