Denmark-headquartered European Energy has announced plans to build a second hybrid renewable energy park in Grevekulla, Sweden. This followed the completion of a similar project in Skåramåla. Construction of a 38 MW solar park next to an existing 36 MW wind park in Grevekulla was planned to begin within three weeks. Placing both technologies in the same area aimed to make better use of the grid and land. Environmental studies showed a low impact, and the project received approval. The solar park would spread across 40 hectares and include 61,776 panels. Once completed in 2026, the hybrid project was expected to power around 28,000 homes. Recently, Lancaster Solar Park by European Energy began construction in Victoria.
