Denmark-headquartered European Energy began construction on the 106 MW Lancaster Solar Park near Kyabram, Victoria, on March 25, 2025. The project was designed to generate 223 GWh annually, supplying power to over 35,000 households and was expected to be completed in 2026. It created 80 construction jobs.The project marked its second renewable energy development in Australia and a key step in advancing its 9 GW pipeline in the country. European Energy had also completed the Mokoan Solar Park near Winton and signed a memorandum with Odonata to explore nature-positive efforts at renewable sites.
