Celepsa, a Lima-based power company under the UNACEM Group, has signed a long-term PPA with global energy firm Zelestra. The agreement secures 450 GWh of renewable electricity annually for Celepsa’s operations in Peru, with I-REC certification included. It supports development of a 238 MW DC solar plant and contributes to Zelestra’s expanding renewable footprint in the country. Zelestra said its total contracted capacity in Peru has surpassed 530 MW DC with the addition of the new plant. The new facility, combined with the San Martín project set to begin operations in the coming months, drives this total. According to Celepsa, the deal enables diversification of its energy portfolio. Zelestra was also recently selected to develop a 500 MW hybrid energy project with SJVN in India.
