Berde Renewables, a Philippines-based distributed energy company backed by I Squared Capital, has expanded its partnership with Holcim Philippines. In 2023, Berde Renewables signed a power purchase agreement to install 5.5 MW rooftop systems at Holcim’s Bulacan and La Union plants, expected to generate 7.8 GWh annually. In 2025, Holcim Philippines added 12.79 MW of new capacity at its Davao and Lugait sites under the expanded agreement. Berde Renewables is responsible for designing, constructing, and operating the new systems. Holcim Philippines said the installations will generate 21,263 MWh annually and reduce 14,000 metric tons of emissions, supporting its goal to cut Scope 2 emissions by 65% by 2030. Berde Renewables also recently partnered with Power Systems and Solutions to deploy 300 MW of PV, BESS, and hybrid projects in Asia-Pacific.
