Alight, a Nordic solar developer and power producer, has signed a PPA with Sweden-based Autoliv for a 100 MWp solar park in Eurajoki, Finland. According to Alight, it will finance, build, own, and operate the project, with construction beginning in spring 2025 and operations starting in 2026. Autoliv said that it will purchase the majority of the plant’s output to secure long-term, low-cost power. The facility is expected to generate 100 GWh annually, enough to power 20,000 households. As per Alight, €46 million (~$50 million) in senior debt financing was secured from SEB and ABN AMRO. The agreement supports Autoliv’s 2030 carbon neutrality goal by expanding access to renewable energy within its Nordic operations. Alight also recently acquired the 215 MW Lidsø solar park in Lolland from European Energy.
