Denmark-Headquartered European Energy sold the 215 MW Lidsø solar park in Lolland, Denmark, to Alight, a Nordic solar developer and independent power producer. Construction started in summer 2024 and is expected to finish by summer 2025. European Energy developed the project, arranged long-term power agreements, and will continue handling construction and operations. The sale followed the company’s plan to develop large renewable projects. Alight said the deal marked the start of its work in Denmark. European Energy is also involved in other projects in Lolland Municipality.

Alight acquired the 215 MW Lidsø solar park in Lolland from European Energy, which stayed on to manage construction and operations through 2025.
