LONGi, the Chinese PV module producer, has been rated Class A shadow resistance by TÜV Rheinland. TÜV Rheinland states this rating confirms the Hi-MO X10 modules' reliability in maintaining stable energy yield under direct shading caused by trees, buildings, or debris. Employing HPBC 2.0 cell technology and a bypass diode structure that redirects current around shaded areas, LONGi stated the module design reduced power loss by over 70% compared to TOPCon modules. LONGi has added that the modules achieve 26.6% cell efficiency and 24.8% module efficiency and are designed for 30 years of service life. LONGi explained that additional design features, such as half-cell construction, Bipolar Hybrid Passivation, smart welding, and pure silver grid lines, improve durability and minimize performance degradation. Earlier this year, LONGi and TÜV Rheinlandpartnered to promote solar quality advancements at SNEC 2025.
