Chinese PV product manufacturer LONGi has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with TÜV Rheinland during SNEC exhibition 2025 in Shanghai. The agreement for LONGi emphasizes enhancing solar product testing, certification process, and reliability level to enhance large-scale PV applications. LONGi has also presented its Hi-MO 9 modules, which use TaiRay wafers and nanoscale full-area passivation technology to improve efficiency and durability. The modules feature a zero busbar design, aimed at increasing long-term energy yield. TÜV Rheinland said that the Hi-MO 9 modules have successfully passed third-party tests for hail resistance, wind loading, and fire performance. LONGi has also applied its “Lighthouse” factory model to maintain consistent, high-reliability module production. Earlier this year, Grupotec selected 187 MW of LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 modules for utility-scale projects in the UK.
