LONGi, a China-based photovoltaic module manufacturer, has signed a 187MW supply agreement with Grupotec for utility-scale solar projects in the United Kingdom. Grupotec, serving as EPC for a third-party independent power producer, has selected LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 back-contact modules after conducting detailed engineering analysis focused on achieving the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). The Hi-MO 9 modules offer up to 670W power and 24.8% efficiency, which reduce Balance of System costs and improve energy yield. According to Grupotec, the modules’ performance, reduced quantity requirements, and simplified structural design align with its project delivery objectives. The agreement extends a partnership that began in 2023, with annual supply volumes now exceeding 300MW. Earlier this year, LONGi also entered a module supply deal with POWERCHINA for the 100MW North Oman Solar Project.
