LONGi, a China-based solar technology company, has launched a 700W module with 25.9% efficiency at SNEC 2025. The module adopts HIBC (Hybrid Interdigitated Back-Contact) technology, integrating heterojunction and back-contact features to enhance performance without increasing size. Measuring 2382 mm × 1134 mm, it delivers over 259W/ power density, surpassing other 700W modules with larger dimensions. In April 2025, LONGi’s HIBC cell achieved a world-record 27.81% conversion efficiency, certified by ISFH. High-density packaging increased the screen occupation ratio from 93.2% to 95.1%, improving light absorption and output. In May, LONGi introduced the EcoLife series based on HIBC, reaching 27.3% cell and over 25% module efficiency in mass production. The company also reported RMB 1.95 billion in initial revenue from its BC ecosystem and established 55 collaborations across various sectors. Earlier this year, LONGi’s back-contact modules has outperformed TOPCon in a 47MW Seville project study.
