GameChange Solar, a Norwalk, Connecticut-based manufacturer of solar tracker and fixed-tilt systems, has unveiled a rivet-mounted module connection option within its Genius Tracker platform to streamline PV installation and reduce maintenance requirements. The rivet design replaces traditional bolted joints, allowing faster assembly and eliminating torque checks typically needed during a project’s operational lifespan. Tested at Intertek and GameChange’s Research and Design Facility, the solution complies with UL 2703 safety standards for mechanical and electrical performance. According to GameChange Solar, in-house field trials confirmed the rivet’s practicality and reliability for commercial-scale use. GameChange Solar has stated that the innovation simplifies mechanical interfaces, has reduced labor intensity, and has minimized fastening inconsistencies across tracker and fixed-tilt systems. Earlier this year, GameChange Solar had introduced its FlexRail solution to address module supply volatility, underscoring its continued focus on installation efficiency.
