FENECON GmbH, a Germany-based provider of energy storage and management systems, has been named a finalist in The smarter E AWARD 2025. FENECON was shortlisted in the ‘Smart Integrated Energy’ category for its modular platform FEMS. FEMS is built on the open-source OpenEMS framework and manages inputs from PV, batteries, EVs, and heat pumps. It enables real-time optimization using predictive controls, grid signal integration, and AI-based forecasting across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. FENECON has stated that key functions include peak shaving, load shifting, demand response, and self-consumption management. A central interface supports live monitoring, rule automation, and energy prioritization based on user settings. The platform is compatible with AC/DC systems and open protocols such as Modbus, SunSpec, and EEBUS. Winners will be announced on May 6 at Messe München in Germany.
