DAS Solar, a China-based manufacturer of PV modules, has assessed its N-type modules through lab and field trials in severe winter settings. The modules handled static pressures of 5,400 Pa front and 2,400 Pa rear across three cycles without deformation or output reduction. Dynamic evaluations surpassed 1,000 cycles at 1,500 ± 100 Pa, maintaining structural and power consistency. Hail resistance tests with 35 mm projectiles at 27.2 m/s resulted in minimal 0.07% degradation under IEC standards. Insulation in humid, subzero tests remained above 1.9 GΩ at 1,500 V DC without failures. Installations in -53℃ areas with heavy snow delivered 52.58 kWh/kW yields free of cracks or disruptions. Earlier this year, DAS Solar finished 8.6 MW solar projects with TR Energia in Brazil.
