AIKO, a China-based solar module manufacturer, has launched its Nebular module in Australia for weight-limited commercial rooftops. According to AIKO, Nebular weighs 8.6 kg, around 60% lighter than typical 20–25 kg modules used in the market. The module has a glass-free design with a reinforced standard frame, enabling compatibility with existing mounting systems. AIKO said that the design removes the need for adhesives or specialised racking, reducing microcrack risk and roof strain. Nebular delivers 440 W output and up to 22% efficiency using All Back Contact (ABC) technology, which eliminates front-side busbars. The company added that the module is also suitable for carports, public infrastructure, and sensitive zones due to its anti-glare surface and fire resistance. AIKO Energy Germany was recently named a finalist for The smarter E AWARD 2025 for its ABC INFINITE module.
