Aiko Energy Germany, a PV technology company, was named a finalist for The smarter E AWARD 2025 in the "Photovoltaics" category for its ABC INFINITE Module. The ABC (All Back Contact) INFINITE module removed gaps between solar cells, increasing output per surface area and achieving a uniform appearance. Efficiency improved through lightly doped silicon wafers, extending charge carrier life. Busbarless interconnection enabled module efficiency to exceed 25 percent. According to the company, the light-receiving area of the ABC INFINITE Module increased by 1.8 percent. Overlap soldering and lamination techniques added 0.4 percent, and hidden busbars contributed another 1.4 percent to the light-receiving area. The winners are scheduled to be revealed on May 6 at Messe München, Germany.
