OMCO Solar, a US-based manufacturer of solar trackers and fixed-tilt mounting systems, has launched the OMCO Star Tracker Control System. The system is designed to integrate with OMCO Origin trackers and has used LoRa wireless technology with a range exceeding one mile. This technology has reduced the number of network controllers required, which has lowered project costs and enabled faster commissioning of solar installations. OMCO Solar has ensured the system is fully operated on DC power, which has eliminated AC cabling requirements and simplified installation. OMCO Solar has also included a field-replaceable battery and advanced weather resilience, improving operational reliability across diverse environmental conditions. OMCO Solar is manufacturing the system in its US factories, which has ensured faster delivery timelines while supporting American-made content. OMCO Solar has already delivered over 12 GW of mounting structures across the US. Prior to this launch, the company has opened a $10 million manufacturing facility in Alabama, strengthening its domestic capacity and expanding nationwide solar supply capabilities.
