OMCO Solar, a Phoenix-based manufacturer of solar tracker and mounting systems, opened a new facility in Madison, Alabama, recently. The 200,000-square-foot plant, located in the Huntsville Greenbrier corridor, represents a $10 million investment and has created 70 full-time clean energy jobs. The site includes robotic production lines for First Solar Series 7 module rails and roll-forming lines for OMCO’s tracker and fixed tilt systems. According to the company, the facility supports its partnerships with First Solar and Nucor by reinforcing a localized U.S. solar supply chain. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew attendees from Senator Britt’s office, SEIA, TenneSEIA, TVA, and local government agencies. OMCO’s expansion aligns with broader efforts to strengthen domestic solar manufacturing capabilities.
