Empower Engenharia, a São Paulo-based renewable engineering consultancy, has completed a detailed performance study at a 467.3 MW solar plant in Minas Gerais, Brazil, comparing LONGi Solar’s Hi-MO 9 back-contact modules with standard and oversized TOPCon modules. The analysis showed that LONGi’s 660 W Hi-MO 9 modules achieved 2.3 % to 2.34 % higher annual output and maintained a 3.45 % to 3.59 % lifetime yield advantage due to lower degradation rates. Empower Engenharia said the results reflected improved efficiency and thermal stability under temperatures ranging from 11.1 °C to 40.8 °C. The study also highlighted LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 architecture, which eliminates front-busbar shading and reduces light-induced degradation. Empower Engenharia concluded that LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 back-contact technology has demonstrated strong operational reliability and long-term performance value in Brazil’s demanding solar environment. Earlier this year, LONGi had earned three TÜV Rheinland 2025 awards for its Hi-MO 9 BC modules, demonstrating consistent validation of their performance quality across global assessments.
