Eight law firms have notified Sunnova investors of a class action lawsuit to recover losses from the alleged securities fraud by the company between February 25, 2020, and December 7, 2023. Investors who incurred losses during this period can request the Court to be appointed as the lead plaintiff until April 16, 2024. Sunnova was accused of engaging in predatory practices against disadvantaged homeowners and communities, conflicting with its Project Hestia initiative. This purportedly exposed Sunnova to regulatory scrutiny and financial harm. The lawsuit alleges that investors suffered damages when these details became public, claiming that Sunnova’s statements were false and misleading. Compensation may be available to investors who purchased Sunnova securities during this time frame through a contingency fee arrangement.
