Sungrow has launched the iHomeManager at Intersolar Europe 2024, an AI-driven home energy management system designed to optimize household energy use. The system leverages deep reinforcement learning to predict energy demands, schedule ESS charging and discharging, and reduce electricity costs by integrating real-time electricity prices with solar generation forecasts. According to the company, the iHomeManager directs surplus solar energy to heat pumps and charges ESS during low-price periods, discharging during peak demand. Featuring advanced 72-hour weather forecasting, it aids in efficient ESS dispatch and user alerts for maintaining full charge. The system is compact, easy to install, supports wired and wireless networking, complies with ETSI EN 303 645 security standards, and is GDPR certified. Future integration with AIoT will enhance remote monitoring and smart energy management capabilities.
