Statkraft has completed its acquisition of Enerfin, a subsidiary of Elecnor. The deal enhances Statkraft’s presence in Spain and Brazil, strengthening its position with a portfolio of 1.5 GW of wind and solar power projects. This includes operational and under-construction projects, along with a development pipeline. The acquisition adds 170 new employees to Statkraft, primarily in Spain and Brazil. Opportunities for wind farm repowering, hybridization, and battery storage emerge from the portfolio. Additionally, it enables expanded market operations in Spain and Brazil. Statkraft plans to divest the Enerfin portfolio in Canada, the US, Colombia, Australia, and Chile while seeking new owners to develop these markets further. The sales process prioritizes value preservation and care for all stakeholders.
