Switzerland-headquartered, STMicroelectronics and ENGIE have signed a 21-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Malaysia, securing approximately 50 GWh of renewable energy annually from a new solar farm in Kedah, Malaysia, for ST’s operations. This PPA will support STMicroelectronics’ goal to achieve 100% renewable energy sourcing and carbon neutrality by 2027. The agreement, part of Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Program, enables renewable power supply to ST’s high-volume test and assembly site in Muar, Johor, which has over 4,700 employees. STMicroelectronics views this PPA as critical in advancing its sustainable energy commitments, with ENGIE as a partner committed to expanding clean energy solutions across Southeast Asia.
