UK’s global renewable energy producer Sonnedix has inaugurated the 150 MW Betierra solar portfolio in Cuenca, Spain, increasing its renewable capacity in the country to over 1 GW. The project comprises three 50 MW plants with shared interconnection infrastructure and generates 300,000 MWh of electricity annually, supplying power to approximately 71,000 homes. It also reduces CO2 emissions by 107,000 tonnes each year. The project operates under a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Equinix and contributes to Spain’s renewable energy transition and national targets.
