UK- based Solivus partnered with Farnborough Airport to install over 4,000 lightweight solar panels on its hangars, terminal, and control tower. The project will generate about 1.2 GWh of clean energy annually, covering 25% of the airport’s power needs and supporting its goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Expected to produce a total of 36 GWh over its lifetime, the installation will offset more than 5,000 tons of CO2 emission. This initiative aligns with Farnborough Airport’s ongoing sustainability efforts.
