Malaysia’s clean energy firm Solarvest Holdings Berhad has secured a RM 113 million Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract from Malaysia-based P Solar Sdn Bhd for a 45 MW solar farm in Pahang under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP). The 88-acre farm is designed to withstand monsoons and incorporates advanced panels and inverters, says Solarvest. Expected to be completed in 2025, the farm will generate 57,500 MWh annually, offsetting approximately 36,800 tons of CO2. Solarvest claims the project will contribute around 60,000 RECs (renewable energy certificates) to the market, aiding corporate sustainability goals. Solarvest is also involved in bidding for 443.4 MW of CGPP projects and exploring additional collaborations under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme.
